How to Contribute

Contributions are welcome! (see the workplan). If you would like to contribute to the JOnAS open source project, you may follow the steps below:

1. either if the work item is already allocated or not, or if you would like to add a new one, send an e-mail to JOnAS team indicating the domain on which you would like to work,
2. once your proposal has been agreed, you should provide a specification document (may be short) describing your work, and corresponding schedule in order to allow us to planify its integration,
3. this specification will be referred from the workplan page, in order to be discussed by the developer community, and you will be included in the JOnAS team mailing list,
4. then you have to download the last JOnAS sources (or get it through CVS),
5. implement your contribution, and corresponding tests,
6. send the modified files, the tests, any specification and documentation to jonas-team for integration in a following JOnAS version.
